1. it would be 8 divided by 186 because the second number is outside of the decision symbol. 186 is inside.
2. you need to see how many times 8 goes into 1. it doesn't so we need to see how many times 8 goes into 18. 8+8=16. Now we have how many times it goes into.
3. Now we put the number 2 since 8 goes into 18 2 times in the number 16 outside of the devision symbol above the 8 of 186. now we put the number 16 under the number 86 and subtract 86-16=60.
4. now we need to see how many times 8 goes into 6. it doesn't go into 6 so we need to add a 0 next to the 6 to see how many times 8 goes into 6. 8 goes into 80 7
