x+y=2 \implies x=2-y \\ \\ x^2 + y^2 = 9 \\ \\ (2-y)^2 + y^2 = 9 \\ \\ y^2 - 4y + 4 + y^2 = 9 \\ \\ 2y^2 - 4y-5=0 \\ \\ y=(-(-4) \pm √((-4)^2-4(2)(-5)))/(2(2)) \\ \\

=1 \pm √(7/2) \\ \\ \implies x=1 \mp √(7/2) \\ \\ \therefore x=1 \mp √(7/2) , y=1 \pm √(7/2)
