Answer: 354

Step-by-step explanations:

For the rectangle, it’s just base times length - 13x8= 104

For the first triangle, it’s half the base times the height - 1/2x13x10= 65 but since there another triangle directly across from it, it doubles so it’ll be 130

For the other triangle, it’s half the base times the height - 1/2x15x8= 60 but since there another triangle directly across from it, it doubles so it’ll be 120

Now you add them all up - 104+130+120= 354

I hope this was easy to understand :)

Answer:

354 square feet

Explanation:

Surface area of rectangular pyramid:

The area of front and back triangle will be same as the base and height are same.

base = 13 ft

height = 10 ft

\sf Area \ of \ triangle = (1)/(2)*base * height\\\\\text{Area of front and back triangle = $2*(1)/(2)*base*height$}

= base * height

= 13 *10

= 130 ft²

In the same way, the base and the height of right and left triangles are same.

base = 8 ft

height = 15 ft

Area of right and left triangle = 8 *15

= 120 ft²

Area of the base rectangle = length * width

= 13 * 8

= 104 ft²

Area of the rectangular based pyramid = 130 + 120 + 104

= 354 ft²
