Answer:

Explanation:

s = 4.11 gallons/minute

h = 319 gallon

Let's suppose that we have a hot tub with 4.11 gallons. This means that it takes a minute to fill up the hot tub, since the rate in which we insert gallons is 4.11 gallons/minute. In the same way, we fill 4.11 gallons/minute x 2 minutes = 8.22 gallons in two minutes. Now, going by these results, it takes a number of minutes, let's say T, to fill up a hot tub, therefore we get 4.11 * T.

h = s x T

T = 10(10 minutes) => we get 4.11 x 10 = 41.1 gallons

T = 60(60 minutes) => we get 4.11 x 60 = 246.6 gallons

Since we already know the volume of the hot tub(319), we get the following equation:

319 = 4.11 x T

which means that T = 319 / 4.11 = 77.61 minutes

One hour is 60 minutes, so we get approximatively 1.29 hours(or one hour and 17 minutes)
