Describe in words where the square root of thirty-five would be plotted on the number line.

It would be plotted in between 5 and 6 but closer to 6.

Explanation:

5 and 6 are multiples to perfect squares. EX:
5^(2) and
6^(2) are perfect squares.

To find out which is closer you must solve these exponents.


6^(2) = (6)(6) = 36
5^(2) = (5)(5) = 25

As you can see 36 is closer to 35
