Consecrate means to make or declare sacred. hallow means to make or declare holy. what does lincoln conclude about the assembled crowd’s purpose of dedicating the cemetery? it is fitting, but not truly possible. it is the necessary and proper way to honor the dead. it takes away from the sacrifice of the dead.
