Support 1 - King Midas: King Midas asks for a Touch of Gold so that he may be very wealthy. He accidentally turns his daughter into gold. This is a warning against greed and materialism.
Support 2 - Icarus: Icarus escapes his prison on wings made with wax. He is warned not to fly too high - or else the sun's heat will melt the wax - or too low, should the water from the sea below wet the wings and weigh him down. Icarus, in his excitement, flies too close to the sun, the wax melts, and he plummets downward. Flying too high represents over-ambition while flying too low represents fear of failure, lack of ambition, etc.
I highly recommend researching both stories briefly for a greater understanding of Greek mythology and the myths themselves.
