if you multiply both sides by cos 30

LHS =
(sin30)/(cos30) x cos 30

= sin 30

RHS = tan 30 x cos 30

=
(sin30)/(cos30) x cos 30

= sin 30

= LHS

Therefore, sin30° / cos30° = tan30 °
