Y-intercept = 22

Explanation:

The equation of a line in slope-intercept format is given by the equation y=mx+c

where m is the slope and c the y-intercept.

(The y-intercept is the value of y when x = 0)

Slope given as -4

And we know it passes through the point(4,6) ie at x=4, y =6

Substitute in above equation to get value of c, the y-intercept

6 = -4(4) + c

6 = -16 + c

c = 22

And this is the y-intercept

The equation of the line is y = -4x + 22
