The trigonometric values we require :

\begin{tabular} ltrigonometric value & numerical value \\\cline{1-2}tan 45^(o)& 1 \\cos 60^(o) & 0.5 \\sin 45^(o) & 1 / √(2)\end{tabular}

Now, let's solve for x.

tan 45° - cos 60° = x (sin 45°)

\mathrm {1 - (1)/(2) = x ((1)/(√(2)))}

\mathrm {(1)/(2) = (x)/(√(2))}

\mathrm {x = (√(2))/(2)}

\mathrm {x = (1)/(√(2))}

The value of x is 1/√2.

I hope it helped you solve the problem

Good luck on your studies!
