Use distributive law

  • a(b+c)=ab+ac

Now

LHS

  • -3(2+4p)=-6-12p

RHS

  • 2(2p-1)=4p-2

Equat

  • -6-12p=4p-2
  • -4=16p
  • p=-1/4

\\ \sf\longmapsto -3(2+4p)=2(2p-1)

\\ \sf\longmapsto -6-12p=4p-2

\\ \sf\longmapsto -12p-4p=-2+6

\\ \sf\longmapsto -16p=4

\\ \sf\longmapsto p=(-4)/(16)

\\ \sf\longmapsto p=(-1)/(4)
