Oscar and Julie Ashton are celebrating their 15th anniversary by having a reception at a local reception hall. They have budgeted $2,500 for their reception. If the

reception hall charges a $80 cleanup fee plus $38 per person, find the greatest number of people that they may invite and still stay within their budget.

Answer:

63 or 21

Explanation:

Budget: $2,500

Subtract clean up fee: 2,500-80

You are left with $2,420

2,420÷38(amount of money person)

This equals 63.68

Leave as whole number since you can't have 0.6th of a person lol

Now if its $80 cleanup fee PER person that would change the math to:

80(cleanup)+38(person)= $118

2,500(budget)÷118= 21.186

leave as 21

the wording of the question is kinda funky.
