Because of the dense fog, they could only see each other's shadows for a brief while. She was overwhelmed by a sense of impending doom. She felt like she was suffocating rather than breathing because of the heavy humidity. In the beginning, she was unsure about what she should do next. She was able to see and breathe for the first time in a long time.
