This process is known as phosphorylation. Phosphorylation is the process through which a phosphate group is transferred from one molecule to a protein, usually within a biological system. A protein being phosphorylated - like drinking a soda before a workout- prepares a molecule for its specialized task.

Answer: couple reactions.

Step-by-step explanation:

Fortunately, a process exists that allows this to happen automatically.

ADP is resynthesized back into ATP by a process called coupled reactions.
