Answer is 521 in^2
Surface area can be found by multiplying
L x W of 3 sides x 2 for a total of 6 sides
For the large rectangle
6x8 = 48 x 2 = 96
6x11 = 66 x 2 = 132
8x11 = 88 x 2 = 176
_____
total 404

For the smaller rectangle
3x3 = 9 x 2 = 18
3x11 = 33 x 2 = 66
3x11 = 33 x 2 = 66
_______
Total 150

Now add both figures together
= 554
Now take away any connecting surface faces
We have the face of the small rectangle on the large rectangle
3x11 = 33
554-33= 521
Your total surface area is 521
