Change in y's? -2 - 2 or -4

This gives me a slope of -4/-3 and a negative divided by a positive is a positive.

I could have found the change by going the opposite direction

Change in y's ? 2 - (-2) or 4

Change in x's? 2 - (-1) or 3

This gives me the same slope 4/3
