❄ Hi there,

the first step in solving this inequality is

  • multiplying (both sides) by 7

\sf{(4)/(7)x*7=21*7}. Look what happens on the left side!

\sf{4x=147}

Multiplying both sides of an equation, or inequality, by the fraction's denominator, is a nice little trick when you need to get rid of fractions to solve in terms of a variable.

Finish solving for x by dividing both sides by 4 –

\sf{x=(147)/(4)}
