Explanation:

Since a room of 2cm is to be left of either side of the TV, thus, the permissible required length of the TV is 136-2 = 134cm

Use Pythagoras Theorem,

h² = 134² + 86² = 17956 + 7396 = 25352

h = √25352 = 159.22 ≈ 159cm = 404.41 inches ≈ 404 inches.
