State Graham's law and state in which sector it falls​

Graham's law states that the rate of diffusion or effusion of two gases is inversely proportional to the square root of their molar masses

  • If two gases be x and y

For diffusion:-


\\ \sf\longmapsto (V_x)/(V_y)=\sqrt{(m_y)/(m(x)}

  • m means molar mass

For effusion


\\ \sf\longmapsto (R_x)/(R_y)=\sqrt{(m_y)/(m_x)}
