Water slides are slides with water on them. It is a wet, bathing suit experience used with gravity, the water making the slide down more fun and easy whereas roller coasters isn't a water activity and involves a motor to run it, like a type of vehicle.
They're the same because it takes you somewhere for a short distance, eventually ending and having to restart again. They are both a nice and fun experience (in my opinion) too.
