I looked out across the deck, letting splashes from the waves bounce onto my face. I looked down in awe at the white foam rushing against the ship, the waves rocking it back and forth. I turned around and hurried to the other side of the deck, my footsteps muffled against the sound of seagulls shrieking. I saw the harbor we had just parted from getting smaller and smaller as the boat swam out deeper into the ocean. I tilted my head down and noticed fish jumping in and out of the water. Their fins stood up as they manuevered around currents. I grinned, happy to be in the place I loved most. The beautiful, navy blue ocean, the house of so many plants and animals, protecting secrets buried deep into the sand.
