the slope is : (YB - YA)/(XB -XA)

(-8+6)/(8-0) = -2/8=-1/4

an equation is : y=ax+b a is a slope

y = (-1/4)x +b

the line through point A (0;-6) : -6 = (-1/4)(0)+b

b = -6 the equation is : y =(-1/)4x-6
