Answer:

Area = 194.4

Explanation:

This is an example of Heron's Formula

Givens

a = 17.1

b = 22.8

c = 28.5

s = semi perimeter.

Formula

Area = sqrt(s * (s- a) * (s - b) * (s- c))

s

s = (a + b + c)/2

s = 34.2

Solution

s = 34.2

s - a = 17

s - b = 11.4

s - c = 5.7

Area = sqrt(34.2 * 17 * 11.4 * 5.7)

Area = sqrt(37779.372)

Area = 194.4
