Explanation:

To find sinE we require DF

Using Pythagoras' identity in the right triangle

DF² = EF² - DE² = 10² - 8² = 100 - 64 = 36 ( take square root of both sides )

DF =
√(36) = 6

Then

(opposite)/(hypotenuse) =
(DF)/(EF) =
(6)/(10) =
(3)/(5)
