slope is found with (change in y/change in x), or in this case, (-4--2,3-2), which is -2

with the equation y = -2x + b, solve for b by plugging in the x and y values of one of the points

using (2, -2):

-2 = -2(2) +b

b = 2

so the equation is y = -2x + 2
