Explanation:

Well you have the equation:

r-s

So all you need to do is plug in 1+2i as r, and 3+3i as s, and then you add like terms (kind of like how you can do 2 * sqrt(2) - 3 * sqrt(2) and you simply subtract the "coefficients")


(1+2i)-(3+3i)

Distribute the negative sign:


1+2i-3-3i

Combine like terms


(1-3)+(2i-3i)

Simplify:


-2-i
