Explanation:

Given,

Cubic centimetres of water a glass can hold = 130 cubic cm

Also amount of water filled is equal to the volume of the glass.

Height of the glass = 6cm

Therefore, by the problem,

= > \pi {r}^(2) h = 130

= > {r}^(2) * 3.14 * 6 =130

= > {r}^(2) * 18.84 = 130

= > {r}^(2) = (130)/(18.84)

= > {r}^(2) = 6.9 \: (approx)

=> r = 2.6267851073 = 2.63

As Diameter is twice of the radius then,

Diameter of the cylindrical glass = 2.63 × 2 = 5.26 (Ans)
