I need help ASAP

1. A student's tuition was $2,575. If a scholarship paid for 3/5 of the tuition, how much was left for the student to pay?​

$1,030

Multiply by the numerator of the fraction, then divide by the denominator.

2575 x 3 = 7725/5 = 1545 is 3/5 of the tuition.
2575 - 1545 = $1,030

Or multiply $2575 x 2/5 (what isn’t paid by the scholarship) =5150/5 = $1,030

Two ways to get the same answer. Use the one that makes the most sense to you.
