Solution :

Let us assume the third angle as a

So, as we know that

116° + a = 180° [Reason : Linear Pair]

a = 180° - 116°

a = 64°

Now, according to the question, we need to find x

So,

53° + a + x = 180° [Reason : Three angles of a ∆ = 180°]

Putting a's value we get

53° + 64° + x = 180°

117° + x = 180°

x = 180° - 117°

x = 63°

  • Hence, the answer is 63°
