Numerous compounds present in nature have isometries. An example of this are amino acids, which enter into the constitution of proteins.

Analyzing the two amino acids separately, is it possible to say that they have an isometry type?

A) Function plane
B) Position plane

Let's observe one by one

#chain isomerism

  • Chain isomerism means the double or triple are placed at different positions although the compound is same.

No all chains are equal here ,hence no chain isomerism.

#Functional isomerism

  • If different functions are found then it's functional isomerism.

No there is Ketone(C=O) ,Amine(NH2) and Alcohol present at both .

  • No functional isomerism

#Geometrical isomerism .

Yes see the darkened section of amine in second compound .

It's geometric isomerism.

Option C is correct
