Solution:

We know that the length of longest flagpole that could be shipped inside the box is equal to the length of the diagonal.


Diagonal=√(l^2+b^2+h^2)

Where, l is length, b is breadth and h is height.


Diagonal=√((3)^2+(3)^2+(13)^2)


Diagonal=√(9+9+169)


Diagonal=√(187)


Diagonal\approx 13.67

Therefore, the longest flagpole that could be shipped is about 13.67 feet long.
