The values of x and y are 4 and 3 respectively.

From the diagram ;

11x + 34 = 15x + 18

11x - 15x = 18 - 34

-4x = -16

x = 4

To find y :

11(4) + 34

44 + 34

= 78

The sum of angles on a straight line ;

90 + 78 + 5y - 3 = 180 (sum of angles on a straight line)

165 + 5y = 180

5y = 180 - 165

5y = 15

y = 3

Hence, the values of x and y are 4 and 3 respectively.
