Moana (from the Disney movie) is a unique heroine because she is a female. Though it is changing, oftentimes heroic traits have been portrayed in male characters exclusively.....

What is the societal perception of women and heroism traditionally? How is this changing, and how do you know it is changing (what evidence do you see)? Why do you think this change is occurring?

Answer:

What is the societal perception of women and heroism traditionally?

A: Females are traditionally portrayed as the ones who needed saving.

How is this changing, and how do you know it is changing

A: This is changing thanks to the majority change of thought that yes females are capable of saving others and themselves. I know that this is changing because it is shown in movies such as Moana, Mulan, Brave (kind of).

Why do you think this change is occurring?

A: This change is occurring because of the recent empowerment that women have gained in this century.

Answer:

Women have not been able to do many things men could. Women often had to stay inside, do household chores. It is changing by including more females in everything, Recently, during the super bowl, we saw the first female referee in the history of football. More Women are being included in more things, like movies, like Raya and the Last Dragon, Ariel, Pocahontas...

I think this change is occurring because the world finally realises that women can do anything. Everyone is equal.

Also, thx for the points.
