\dispalystyle a_1=-2 ~\\\\~ d=a_2-a_1=1-(-2)=3 \\\\ a_(9)=a_1+(9-1)d=-2+8d=-2+24=\boxed{22} \\\\\\ \huge\boxed{\mathfrak{Answer}:a_(9)=22}

Formula to fimd the 9th term:-

\tt a_(n) = a_(1) + (n - 1)d

Where,

  • a_(n) is the Nth term

  • a_(1) is the first term of sequence

  • n is the term to be found

  • d is the common difference between terms

In our case,

  • a_(1) = - 2

  • n = 9

  • d = 3

Put the values,

\tt a_(9) = - 2 + (9 - 1) * 3

\tt a_(9) = - 2 + 8 * 3

\tt a_(9) = - 2 + 24

\tt a_(9) = 22
