A painter is hired to paint a mural on the side of a 18-foot-tall building. The painter wants to use the entire height of the building to paint a scale drawing of a skyscraper that is in the city. The skyscraper is 720 feet tall. What is the scale factor of the painting?

Answer:

Explanation:

they are asking, what multiple of 18 would equal 720

so divide 720 / 18 = 40

so the drawing on the building will be 1/40 th scale

that is, it will be one fortieth, of the real one. :)
