Answer: c

Explanation:

Solution by substitution method

-2x+y=-5

2x-y=5

and 3x-2y=12

Suppose,

2x-y=5→(1)

and 3x-2y=12→(2)

Taking equation (1), we have

2x-y=5

⇒y=2x-5→(3)

Putting y=2x-5 in equation (2), we get

3x-2y=12

3x-2(2x-5)=12

⇒3x-4x+10=12

⇒-x+10=12

⇒-x=12-10

⇒-x=2

⇒x=-2→(4)

Now, Putting x=-2 in equation (3), we get

y=2x-5

⇒y=2(-2)-5

⇒y=-4-5

⇒y= -9

∴y=-9andx=-2
