ZA and B are complementary angles. Ifm_A = (2x + 18) and m

ZB = (6x – 8), then find the measure of ZB.

In this case, since we are given two angles which are (2x + 18) and (6x – 8). We then add them and equate them to 90° which will be:

(2x + 18) + (6x - 8) = 90

2x + 18 + 6x - 8 = 90

Collect like terms

2x + 6x = 90 - 18 + 8

8x = 80

x = 10

Since ZB = 6x - 8 = 6(10) - 8 = 60 - 8 = 52°
