Answer: 6.08 units

Explanation:

Given

Co-ordinate of Old oak tree are (1,10)

Co-ordinates of the boulder are (-5,9)

distance between them is given by distance formula

d=√((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)

distance between them is

d=√((-5-1)^2+(9-10)^2)=√((-6)^2+(-1)^2)\\\\d=√(36+1)=√(37)\ \text{units}\\d\approx 6.08\ units
