During the Berlin Conference of 1884-1885, European Superpowers agreed to the regularizations of the territories they were going to colonize.

European powers such as Great Britain, France, Belgium. Spain, Germany, or Portugal, colonized the territories of the African continent and even formed new territories that fit their political and economic interests. This period was known as The Scramble for Africa and ended approximately by 1914. European nations were only interested in exploiting the raw materials and natural resources of Africa.
