p(x) = g(x) \\ = > 2 {ax}^(2) - 4x + 2 = (5 + a) {x}^(2) - 4x + 2 \\ = > 2 {ax}^(2) - 4x + 2 = 5 {x}^(2) + {ax}^(2) - 4x + 2 \\ = > 2 {ax}^(2) - {ax}^(2) - {5x}^(2) - 4x + 4x = 2 - 2 \\ = > {ax}^(2) - 5 {x}^(2) = 0 \\ = > {x}^(2) (a - 5) = 0 \\ = a - 5 = 0 \\ = > a = 5

Answer:

a = 5
