Communication goes way back in human history.
At first it was just grunting. Then, it would have been just talking. But as both you and I know, talking isn’t a great way to record stuff, so written language appeared.

Now you might be wondering how did language really start to develop so intricately? It’s simple. Actually, its not simple. But I will explain it the simplest way possible. The way it happened was when humans started to be able to imagine. You see, that’s the only thing that makes us different from the other inhabitants of Earth. That we have the ability to imagine.

Think about it. We are able to say that “A lion might come tomorrow and eat one of our friends.”. But monkeys on the other hand can’t. They can only say whether there is a lion eating one of their friends right now, but not that a lion might come tomorrow. This is because to make the phrase a lion might come tomorrow, you need to “imagine” that it will happen.
