Answer:

I take it that we solve for x and y, so we have

3x + y = 4, so we have y = 4 - 3x

and plug that in to

8x + 2y = 10

8x - 6x + 8 = 10

so

2x = 2

x = 1

y = 4 - 3

y = 1
