The area of a rectangle is 294.4 sq.cm. The length of one side is 16cm. What is the perimeter?

Area = L x w
Perimeter = L + L + W + W

294.4 / 16 = 18.4 = other side length
2 (18.4) x 2 (16) = 68.8cm perimeter

Ok so because this is a rectangle the line directly across (paralell) is equal, so if one line is 16cm, the line parallel to that will also be 16. Then the formula for area is LxW we'd plug in the numbers we know to get 294.4
cm^(2) =16 x W

then we divide 16 by both sides to make it even to get 18.4cm=W. Now we just plug everything in to the perimeter by doing 16 x 2 + 18.4 x 2 to get
