Twelve students have equally likely chance of being selected in a drawing at school. Eight are girls and four are boys. What is the probability that a boy will be selected?

1/3 is the answer. 4/12 and that simplifies to 1/3

There are 4 boys and 12 students in total. It would be 4/12, but if it was to be simplified, it would be 1/3. The probability of a boy being selected is 1/3.
