Answer: we will go with the middle one, an example for this is that you have 10 squirrels, you watch them to see what they do, you find out that all 10 squirrels like nuts, so that must mean that all squirrels like nuts. So what I mean here is that "its better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all" means that there will always be people you love and their will always be people that leave, that make sense?
