Anita and Brad are each riding on the same path. Anita began riding at start of the path and is riding at rate of 18 mile per hour. Brad begin from a sport 10 mile ahead of her and I riding at rate of 13 mile per hour

This means that, after t hours, his position will be given by:


B(t) = 10 + 13t

After how much time will they be at the same position?

This is t for which:


A(t) = B(t)

So


18t = 10 + 13t


5t = 10


t = (10)/(5)


t = 2

They will be at the same position after 2 hours.
