f(g(x))=4x^2+16x+13

Using substitution, we can substitute the
x in
4x+5 with
x^2+4x+2. That gives us the equation

4(x^2+4x+2) + 5

Now using the distributive property, you multiply g(x) by 4. This gives us

4x^2+16x+8+5

If you add 8+5, you get 13, giving us our final equation:

f(g(x))=4x^2+16x+13
