Hope this helps!

1) convert the proper fractions into improper fractions.
2) divide the 8/5 by 8/3 (keep, change, flip)
3) multiply the first fraction by five and the second fraction by four, so each fraction has the same denominator.
4) add the fractions together, then convert to decimal points or a proper fraction.
