Janet is buying fencing for a triangular flower garden she plans to build in her backyard. If the lengths of the three pieces of fencing are 12 feet, 9 feet, and 6 feet will the flower garden be in the shape of a right triangle? Explain​

Answer:

The flower garden will not be in the shape of a right triangle

Explanation:

If it was, the pythagorean theorem would have to work which means that

9² + 6² would have to equal 12² but it doesn't so the triangle will be an obtuse triangle instead.
