An air conditioner with a resistance of 50.0 Omega(R1) and a computer with a resistance of 20.0(R) are connected in parallel to a 120.0-V source through a 2.00-0 resistor (R3) series, as shown below. Find the current through the computer when the air conditioner is on and when is off

Answer:

the value of current will be 6A for the both case.

Step-by-step explanation:

the voltage difference between two sides of the computer will be 120V .it will not depend on while the conditioner is on or off. so for the both case it will be same.

as we know current I=V/R

so for the both case I=120/20=6(ans)
